Richard A. Wright West of Laramie author Richard A. Wright, assistant professor of journalism in the Wayne State University Communication Department of the College of Fine, Performing and Communication Arts. Wright has been an automotive writer in Detroit for more than 30 years, having served as a reporter, writer and editor at the Detroit Free Press, Automotive News and, most recently before joining WSU, at The Detroit News. He also writes for the Chicago Tribune and the North American Steel Journal, published in Mexico City.
